Who we are / Info
The Tropic of Capricorn is the southernmost latitude where the Sun can be directly overhead during the December solstice. One of Earth’s five major circles of latitude, it lies at about 23.4° south and slowly moves northward. It marks the boundary between the tropics and the southern temperate zone, shaping climate and agriculture in regions such as Australia, southern Africa—including Botswana—and South America.
