Malawi Milk Producers Association - Lilongwe - Malawi

The Malawi Milk Producers Association is the umbrella organization of the three Regional dairy associations in the country; The Shire Highland Milk Producers Association [SHMPA] in the Southern Region, the Central Region Milk Producers Association [CREMPA] in the Central Region and the Mpoto Dairy Farmers Association [MDFA] in the Northern region of Malawi.
The three associations are operating 52 Milk Bulking Groups[ milk collection centers] where farmers bring their milk everyday to be cooled and collected by one of the 5 Dairy processors in the country every other day, for processing and sale to the public.
The total membership of MMPA stands at 17000 members, mostly small holder Dairy Farmers with one or two dairy cows each.
MMPA is governed by a Board of Directors, elected from each of the regions and has its headquarters in Lilongwe Malawi and a sub office in Canada.
