ICEX Spain Export and Investment is a public business entity whose main purpose is the promotion of the internationalization of the Spanish economy and business and the improvement of its competitiveness, as well as the attraction and promotion of foreign investments in Spain.

ICEX works closely with the main business organizations, Chambers of Commerce and sector groups that encompass the Spanish business fabric, to identify the internationalization needs of Spanish SMEs and develop strategies that allow their consolidation in international markets. It also has a Strategic Guidance Council chaired by the Minister of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, of which 23 members of recognized prestige and experience in the field of internationalization are part, collaborating in the definition of the lines of action of the entity.
