Mubuyu Farms Ltd - Mazabuka – Zambia

Eighty kilometers south of Lusaka, on the way to Victoria Falls, lies a small monument where David Livingstone first saw the Kafue River in 1855. Munali Coffee is now grown on the family-run Mubuyu Farm on this fertile plateau. The local community benefits from ethical farming practices under internationally recognized standards. Willem Lublinkhof, who came to Zambia 50 years ago with the Dutch development service, settled here with his Danish wife, Meta. They started farming wheat, soya, and other crops in 1971. Over a decade ago, the family began coffee cultivation. The estate includes a flourmill, irrigation dams, housing, a school, a clinic, and a football team.
