Who we are / Info
Ghanzi Airport (IATA: GNZ, ICAO: FBGZ) is an airport serving Ghanzi, the administrative centre of Ghanzi District in western Botswana. The airport is recognised as an aviation facility and port of entry and has historically supported air transport for the local community and surrounding area. Official Botswana government records have identified plans to relocate and develop the airport at a new site approximately 7 kilometres southwest of Ghanzi town centre, including a new runway, terminal building and associated infrastructure. The proposed development has been subject to funding constraints. Ghanzi Airport forms part of Botswana’s wider aviation network and provides an important air access point for the district and its economic activities.
