Motswedi is a Savings and Credit Co-operative Society and was established by the staff of the Department for Co-operative Development and Botswana Co-operative Bank on the 19th November 1985. Society was formed primarily to create a pool of savings and enable the members access to credit (loans) at affordable interest rates. Motswedi SACCOS as a Savings and Credit Co-operative Society has a common bond which clearly spell out as to who can join the Society.
