Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development . The Acting Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture, Honourable Vincent Seretse will tomorrow, Thursday 8th May 2014 donate netball and soccer balls to all primary schools in Gaborone at Ithuteng Primary School. This initiative is aimed at promoting sport development among young people in Botswana. It is part of Government’s commitment to ensuring that students start appreciating sport from a very young age. Each school will be given two balls, netball and soccer ball per class in every stream. Inter-class competitions and other activities that require balls will be catered for in this initiative. The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture is working hard together with the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, the district Commissioner’s Office and Ithuteng Primary School to ensure that proceedings commence at exactly 1000hrs on Thursday. All Gaborone school heads and senior teacher sports and the media are invited to attend this important event.
