The Development Bank of Namibia (DBN), established in 2004 and headquartered in Windhoek, is Namibia’s national development finance institution. As a state-owned bank, DBN’s mandate is to promote sustainable socio-economic development by providing long-term financing and support for projects that drive inclusive growth and improve livelihoods.
DBN focuses on strategic sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing, tourism, energy, transport, and SME development, with particular attention to empowering youth, women, and previously disadvantaged groups. The Bank provides loans, equity partnerships, and advisory services to address financing gaps and support economic diversification.
