It was also traditionally used by young women as a symbol to preserve their chastity.

Today even the current generations embrace Mussiro; a tradition that was started by their great grandparents. We picked the name Mussiro for our trips because we are committed to exposing the roots of Mozambique and not only it’s superficial face.
