Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd (BOTASH) is a leading salt and soda ash supplier in Southern Africa, jointly owned by the Government of Botswana and CAH Group. Located in Sua Pan, northern Botswana, BOTASH began operations in April 1991. Its production capacity is 300,000 tonnes of soda ash and 650,000 tonnes of salt per year, extracted from natural sodium deposits. Soda ash serves industries including glass, detergents, chemicals, and mining. Over 90% of products are exported to South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, DRC, and Namibia, supporting chemical processes and manufacturing across the region.
