The Botswana Diamond Manufacturers Association was established as a Non-Profit Organization in 2007. The BDMA consists of 13 of 18 sight-holder members, and 4 ordinary members of the Diamond Manufacturers in Botswana, with the current Chairman being Mr. Kfir Teichman.
The main objective of the Association is to represent Diamond Manufacturers throughout all facets of Botswana society and government. The Association aims to assist in the understanding and implementation of policies in areas such as labour, employment, and compliance with national and international laws and regulations. Additionally, the BDMA seeks to influence the distribution of the industry’s socio-economic benefits to all citizens of Botswana.
The goal of the Association is to represent those in the Diamond Cutting and Polishing Industry as a whole, through advocacy to advance the interests of the industry by giving one voice to the members of the Association.
The BDMA is a member of the International Diamond Manufacturer’s Association, which is committed to fostering and promoting the highest ideals of honesty and best practice principles throughout the diamond industry worldwide.
