Botswana Hindu Charity Trust Temple. In 2000, a group of friends envisioned building a Temple for Lord Venkateshwara to provide the community with a dedicated place of worship reflecting traditional Indian architecture. They soon established the “Botswana Hindu Charity Trust (BHCT)” with the primary goal of constructing the temple, including sanctum-sanctoriums for other deities. BHCT tirelessly secured 7,018 square meters of land from the Government of Botswana, initiated the project, brought Sthapathis and artisans from India, organized fundraising events, and oversaw construction. After nearly seven years of effort, the temple was completed and officially inaugurated on 16th September 2007.
