The National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology of the Union of the Comoros (ANACM) is an administrative service under public law which replaces the Directorate of Civil Aviation. It is placed under the supervision of the Minister in charge of Civil Aviation. The Agency has legal personality and administrative and financial autonomy with its own bodies, notably the Civil Aviation Council and the Director General. The agency was created to meet urgent needs for autonomy and compliance with the requirements of the international aeronautical community including the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO ).
