Who we are / Info
Mbarara District Farmers Association is a member based non-governmental organisation established in 1994, dealing in agricultural advisory services.
Mbarara District Farmers’ Association (MBADIFA) is a farmers’ organization which was established in 1994 as a branch of Uganda National Farmers’ Federation. MBADIFA was born out of the need to address insufficient governmental agricultural extension and advisory services, marketing issues, and lack of a common voice for farmers of Mbarara district.
In 1997, as a result of decentralization, MBADIFA was established and separately registered with the government as an NGO, and affiliated to UNFFE – Uganda National Farmers’ Federation for the benefit of legal and operational recognition.
